Since many films and TV shows of past decades were revitalised and reintroduced, people get back to old craze of collecting action figures of all kinds. This hobby was much popular during the 80s and early 90s, when many action figures appeared in the market. Star wars was the first series of movies that introduced the several figures and persona that decorate many houses and kids’ rooms.

Original action figures hit the markets as a celebration of all these action adventure movies; but collecting action figures is not limited to the movie industry: there are toys and athletes, comic characters and many more real or not people who became very successful commercial figures for kids or adults. These dolls are made with amazing preciseness and detail, making the original figures even more known and popular.

The original target group for these figures were actually youngsters and kids, although people who like collecting action figures belong to all different age groups. Kids prefer action figures such as G I Joe or X men, while more grown up collectors tend to buy dolls that look like pieces of art; Star wars, or movies like Rambo and the Lord of the Rings are quite popular and common among figure collectors. Sci fi movies and TV shows are also the main source of dolls and action heroes, while the known super heroes remain still first on the list; the figure of Superman and Batman, or even the Joker and Spiderman are among collectors’ favourites.

If you are an avid action figure collector you can search online for the various vendors and resources available. In most cases, eBay can prove to be very helpful as well, as there are many collectors who go online and try to exchange the figures and dolls they have with something else that can match their collection more.
